Our newest employee at CS3, Joshua Blaho, is a millennial new to the world of desk jobs, so we asked him to write a weekly blog series about his experience.

Week 6:

I recently attended a seminar hosted by CS3’s Tina Crouch. It was for the Tulsa River Parks Authority team. The subject matter pertained to social media
for businesses and employees. When I saw a print out of my LinkedIn profile with red pen comments, I couldn’t help but smile. If there were a grading system,
I would have received a poor score.

She had a great deal of information on how I can improve my grade. Twitter was another part of her presentation. There wasn’t much I took away from the
Twitter segment because I'm not a user. Well, actually there was one thing learned. I never knew how many gen X’ers and baby boomers don’t know what Twitter
actually is. Not including Tina or myself, I think there were only two people who knew what it was.

Lastly, she finished with some information regarding Facebook. The one thing I learned from the Facebook demonstration, was the importance of employees
commenting on or sharing their company’s content
It helps the company Facebook feed appear more legitimate.

All in all, she had an extremely well put together seminar about social media which was very coherent. I’m glad I attended her event.
