I started working at Crouch, Sellers and Slavin in September 1997. I was the first non-partner consultant hired and have seen many changes over the years.
With my background in accounting, I started out as a staff accountant way back when and eventually earned my CPA. An inadvertent lucky break is why I started working with Abra in the HR/Payroll world. I was supposed to go to training on budgeting software for Platinum, but another consultant could not attend the Abra training class, so we swapped. Because of that 'scheduling' mishap, I get to do what I love every day and work with some of the best HR/Payroll folks around!
What things keep you busy outside of work:
My husband, Jason, and I ride our bicycles quite a bit from spring to fall. We like to participate in events centered around bicycling, including the annual Tour de Cure that is put on by the American Diabetes Association. In the winter, we are all about swishing down a snow covered mountain as often as we can!
Mountains or Beach:
My vacations are usually spent going skiing. I would say 90% of the time I go skiing and 10% of the time I go somewhere else. I love snow and my time skiing in the mountains, but I still love the beach also.
Who is your favorite cartoon character:
Snoopy! I have always loved Snoopy and even decorate my Christmas tree with 90% Snoopy ornaments.
