​Inspiration Marketing VS Information Marketing

The April Tulsa Chapter AMA meeting was wonderful as usual. Danny Maloney of Tailwind was the guest speaker. His firm focuses on visual marketing. So they leverage social platforms such as Tumbler, Instagram, Snapchat Pinterest, and Facebook heavily. If you are looking for someone to help you gain customers with Pinterest and Instagram, this is the firm! Danny is simply brilliant!

With visual marketing, where the video or artwork tells the story, you are able to communicate the emotional part of your message very clearly. You can combine visual with informational marketing as well. An example he shared was Pinterest. You post the picture of a wall that is painted with a specific technique. One can clearly see if this is the effect they are wanting. But now, HOW to do it uses other social media that can provide written instructions or videos on YouTube that SHOW you how to do it. Of course, if you a sell of paining supplies, this is a great way to demonstrate and sell your products.

Somethings never change. You can see in this example, you are still using multiple methods to market to your target audience. He agrees that any solid marketing strategy is going to leverage multiple channels where your regret market can be reached.

Most importantly, I won the business card drawing…..again. So I have a “take a guest” pass to next month’s meeting. First come, first serve!
