Our very own Troy Vars has taken 3rd place at the Acumatica Summit Hackathon. This pre-conference event is designed to expand the functionality of Acumatica leveraging the programming skills of business partners. Troy's team, Team Zeta, wrote a solution to transact Cryptocurrency for Invoices as a payment, purchase Crypto as an investment on funds transfers and use it to pay vendor bills with Crypto directly from Acumatica.
First place team created an enhancement to integrate maps for files to Acumatica graphs. Second place created a solution that sends a video conferencing to a customers sms text service, stores the video in Acumatica and transcribes it via an API.
Troy is once again on a “winning” team after attending 4 out of 5 of the hackathons starting back in San Diego in 2017. As always win or loose Troy enjoys catching up with friends and contacts from previous years and being able to learn from the best and show the noobs new development skills and the ropes. Troy reports that he had a great team, a ton of laughs and even had time to review some of our own projects and get some advice from the Acumatica community.
